Tinie Tempah – more commonly known as ‘Patrick’ to his Mum – is set to be one of the new faces of Lucozade.

Tempah will be joined by Irish world champion boxer Katie Taylor and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker. Tinie will be following in the footsteps of many great individuals who have previously represented Lucozade such as….. ex- liverpool striker John Barnes, who made the brand what it is today without a doubt. The UK rapper is set to receive a healthy injection into his account, rumoured to be around the £100,000 mark.

Initial shots of the first advert featuring Tinie have emerged in the past few days with Tinie standing alongside the aforementioned ‘athletes’. Tempah has also managed to windle his way onto WWE’ flagship event Wrestlemania XXVII, with his piece of pop perfection ‘Written in the stars’ being used for the opening credits.

Here’s a few words from the man himself on why he thinks he’s a great ambassador for the brand:  ”I reckon I could kick the bottle in the bin if I was asked. It’s massive. They’ve always done such huge adverts. And I DO drink Lucozade, more so in the gym. I’m not just saying that, I wouldn’t endorse something I didn’t like.”

Judging by his comments he’s the perfect role model for all you budding athletes of today.

The trailer will be shown at the half time interval of the UEFA champions league quarter final between Chelsea and Manchester United on April 12.
