Have you ever considered the concept of ‘pretty privilege’? Beautiful women getting things they did not earn (or necessarily ask for) purely on the basis of their good looks? Attention, romance, jobs, freebies and benefits all handed to them, just because men find them attractive?
Well that might sound good on the surface, but imagine the pain these women experience from being too hot to make friends! Just ask TikToker Ariana Savannah – this is the bleak, miserable reality of her existence (via the Mirror):
There’s also a bad side that nobody talks about, and I’m going to talk about my experience as a woman.
I don’t have many girlfriends.
And it’s something I’ve struggled with for a long time and I’ve never really understood why.
She added that girls often admire her and compliment her on her good looks and sometimes even make plans to hang out with her:
Then the time comes around and I’m always left out and talked about poorly behind my back.
It doesn’t make sense because I’m always being so kind and so genuine.
After speaking to her family about it, Ariana says the only explanation as to why girls don’t like her is because they’re intimidated by her beauty and “don’t like to not be the prettiest person in the room”. Which is probably true in some cases, but suggesting ‘they hate me cos they ain’t me’ probably isn’t going to do her any favours in the friendship department either. I mean if you look around TikTok (where Ariana has 50k+ followers), there are plenty of hot girls all hanging out together and doing dance routines and whatnot. How come they all get along with each other?
Anyway, thoughts & prayers with Ariana who has reminded us all that being ridiculously good-looking isn’t always what it’s cracked out to be. Although it is pretty great overall, to be fair. Scroll down for more Ariana…
