With Thomas Partey joining Arsenal on their pre-season tour of America, many people thought the sexual assault accusations against him had been dropped and the Ghana international could enter the 22/23 season without all this looming over his head.
Well last night his unnamed accuser took to Twitter with bags of ‘evidence’ and ‘receipts’, sharing a whole bunch of texts that appear to show Thomas Partey admitting (or at least not denying) that he raped her, while she also claims a recent change in UK law means he got away with it. Here are a few of the things she Tweeted out:

She also claims that revealing this information has put her £200k in debt, as Partey already paid her off to keep quiet about the incident:

With the screenshots trending on Twitter and thousands of people lobbing questions at her, the woman decided to call it a night, but apparently there’s more coming today when she gets round to it:
So obviously this is a very serious situation and an absolute disaster for Arsenal and Thomas Partey. Naturally there’s no way of knowing right now whether those texts are really from Thomas Partey or how much of what is alleged in them is true. For now, Partey is in the clear which is why he’s been travelling and playing with the Arsenal squad as they gear up for their first game of the season against Crystal Palace next Friday. A lot could change between now and Friday though – is it possible we’ve seen Thomas Partey in an Arsenal shirt for the last time? If these accusations turn out to be true, or if the backlash is too great, it’s entirely possible Arsenal could drop Thomas Partey despite him being a crucial member of the team.
The most important thing of course is that the truth is uncovered and that this young lady gets the help she needs, because she’s clearly in a lot of distress. We’ll keep you posted.
