Dogs are the best and this video will show you why. So basically the backstory is that 21-year-old Private Hannah Foraker from Ohio had to leave home to start army training back in September, leaving her 13-year-old retriever Buddy (who is a girl) in the care of a family member.

Hannah said:

I’ve never been away from home before.

I’ve lived a very sheltered life. To have to leave to go to another state alone in a stressful environment like basic training was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

And by the looks of things, it was pretty tough for buddy too. When Hannah came home recently for four weeks, Buddy could not contain her excitement. Needless to say it was an emotional reunion. Check it out:

We don’t often cover cutesy stories but every now and then one like this pops up and proves to us why dogs are literally the best and this is why they are man’s best friend. There is no other kind of love and devotion than that you get from your furry friend.

Still, nothing will bring on the tears like this emotional reunion between a little boy and his lost pup. They just love each other so much.
