A 33-year-old dude called Xu got pulled over recently by Shenzhen City police in China because of his alleged sloppy driving. But when the coppers pulled out their Breathalyser, Xu being the wily fox that he is decided to try and pull a fast one on them and fake the test.

Unfortunately drunk people do not carry out the most subtle of behaviours and Xu’s exaggerated attempts do not manage to trick the cops. Instead it leads to a painstaking back and forth which makes for some pretty funny viewing.

After several failed attempts the police said:

Xu finally blew into the breathalyser, with the result showing 191 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milligrams of blood, higher than the country’s legal limit.

I love how on the fourth attempt he gets so into it, he starts making mad gestures with his hands and is almost making out with the plastic tube thing. Maybe he should think about getting into stage acting or something.

Anyway the police weren’t so impressed as they have detained Xu and he’s apparently going to be handed a pretty hefty fine, which is most likely made even heftier by his crazy shenanigans.

Maybe he should’ve tried this guy’s method and blamed his alcohol levels on eating beer battered fish.
