So yesterday we blogged about the Delta Airlines flight that was forced into an emergency landing after a passenger suffered an extreme bout of diarrhea that left poop dribbling all the way down the aisle, and if there’s one thing we could have counted on when writing that blog, it’s that eventually footage of the horrific scene would find its way online.

Goodness gracious. Those brown paper towels? The massive diarrhea splat in the middle of the aisle? Let’s be clear: this wasn’t the type of diarrhea you just accidentally let slip on a massive fart. It’s the type of diarrhea that would have had this passenger in pure agony. They would have been sat there in their little seat sweating and squirming and ready to explode. Just struggling to contain the tsunami of watery poop being held back by nothing but the will to not sh1t themselves 30,000 feet up in the sky.
Inevitably, the levee broke and all hell broke loose. The pressure got too much and the poop flowed out of their backside like an avalanche, with only a very thin carpet on the floor to soak it up, which definitely resulted in some splashback for the surrounding passengers.
What could this poor passenger do? They seemingly ran for the toilets at the back of the plane, which turned out to be wrong move because it resulted in poop spraying, dribbling and running all throughout the plane. Just a long brown trail from their seat all the way up to the back of the plane. In the end, the pilot had no choice but to turn the plane back and issue an emergency landing, and it resulted in an international news story that has been all over the internet for days.
All that said, we can only hope that the person responsible for all this is feeling a bit better. It can’t be easy to suffer that level of indignity and humiliation in front of a plane full of people, let alone have the story (and footage) go viral after. It’s like the crazy plane lady story except this poop was 100% real and terrifying. Thoughts and prayers with everyone involved.
