I know I already said that Eli Roth’s Clown was the creepiest horror movie of the year and then I followed that up saying that the Goodnight Mommy trailer was even scarier, but that was before I had even heard of The Witch. Here’s the blurb:

New England, 1630: William and Katherine lead a devout Christian life, homesteading on the edge of an impassible wilderness, with five children. Now watch the trailer. No, I haven’t really got a clue what’s going on either but it looks messed up right? And man, never have I seen a goat be so fucking terrifying.
