Even with all the horrific things he’s been accused of in recent times, Vince McMahon is still one of the most fascinating people to ever walk on the face of this planet. But despite being on our screens and in the public eye for so long, we don’t actually know that much about the former WWE chairman, outside of all the crazy stories and allegations against him. Even though he was easily the most polarising and hated person in the industry even before the recent allegations forced him to step down from the company.

And that’s why this incoming 6-part documentary about Vince McMahon on Netflix is going to be must-watch television. Here’s the trailer:

Funnily enough, when Netflix first commissioned the documentary, it was supposed to be about the life and career of Mr. McMahon – how he took his dad’s regional wrestling business and created a worldwide, billion dollar empire out of it that no one believed was possible, and how he wasn’t afraid to get stuck into the in-ring shenanigans himself from time to time.

Obviously, with everything that’s gone on since, it’s now more about the rise & fall of Vince McMahon, which has got to be a brutal pill for him to swallow, knowing what we do about Vince. After all, they sat down with Vince pre-allegations and filmed all these interviews we see in the trailer, and so how will that contrast with the later episodes where they reveal his pending sexual trafficking and harassment legal battles?

Can’t wait to find out come September 25.

In the meantime, here’s a clip for a rare longform interview with Vince McMahon to whet your appetite:

Wasn’t that long ago we featured an entire thread of the craziest Vince McMahon stories out there. How many of those will make it into the documentary?
