If there’s one thing that you can count on when it comes to weird celebrity events in the public domain, it’s that ‘The Simpsons’ has a pretty good track record of predicting them.

The latest is the news that Tom Hanks has contracted the Coronavirus and is now self isolating. Back in the 2007 big screen version of the show, Hanks appeared in an advert for a new version of the Grand Canyon as the old one had become too boring at the end of which he says: ‘This is Tom Hanks saying if you see me in person, please, leave me be.’
Hmmm. That is a bit of a stretch when compared to ‘The Simpsons’ usual predictions, but it kinda adds up in a bit of a skewed way.
I’m happy to add it in there with all the other ways that the show has predicted the future, but I can understand why if you’re reading this you might feel it’s a a bit of a cheap one. Apologies – I’ll try and make the next one better.
