These specifics will be the sorts of things that most people might have in their house, but because you name the items specifically it will feel eerily correct to the person being “read”.
These are the sorts of items you might mention:
- Jewelry from a deceased family member
- Toys or books from childhood
- A box of old photographs, most of them not in albums
- A watch or clock that hasn’t worked for ages
- Books about a hobby that they no longer pursue
- A drawer that is stuck or doesn’t open easily
- Keys that you can no longer remember the use for
You can also try to slip in some peculiarities about the person:
- Childhood incident involving water
- Scar on their knee
- Used to have long hair when younger but had it cut short
- Photos of loved one in their purse
- A single earring without a match
If you get a hit on any of these items you can start to delve and see what you find. Like so…
