San Francisco’s Charlie Kubal works at Google in the day but in the evenings he spends his time chopping, slicing and mashing up tunes under the alias Wait What. Described as the extrovert meets the introvert, Charlie has made a big internet splash with his new mash-up album The Notorious XX.

Matching B.I.G’s rhymes with the atmospheric tunes of the xx’s self titled album, Kubal has created a marriage that works superbly. Rather than creating brand new compositions, Charlie has kept it real and made only subtle tweaks and cuts to blend these two albums together resulting in a mash-up that sounds as natural as it is impressive.

Well worth a Listen x.
