I think it’s safe to say now that Netflix is putting out better quality content than Hollywood, and with movies like The Irishman and El Camino on the way, it looks as though the streaming service is going from strength to strength in that regard.

Well here’s another upcoming Neflix movie to get excited about – ‘The King’ starring Timothée Chalamet (Homeland, Interstellar).

Hal, wayward prince and heir to the English throne, is crowned King Henry V after his tyrannical father dies. Now the young king must navigate palace politics, the war his father left behind, and the emotional strings of his past life.

Kings, swords, history, battle, lots of bloodshed, bit of nudity; how can you not get excited about that? Also has a Game of Thrones vibe about it which will definitely go some way to filling that Westeros-shaped hole in all our hearts. The story of Henry V is an interesting one and it looks as though Netflix will do it justice with ‘The King’ – can’t wait.
