I still think it seems ridiculous that Johnny Depp reckons he can win his defamation case against Amber Heard after categorically losing the one where he sued The Sun for defamation of character – which is essentially the same – but he’s still pressing forward with it being scheduled to start on April 11th in Fairfax County, Virgina. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million and she’s countersuing him for $100 million, so it should be a tasty week or so with revelation after revelation, no matter what the outcome.

Anyway, with the trial set to start in three weeks or so, the witness list has been submitted for both Depp and Heard and there are some absolutely massive names that are set to appear and testify on behalf of each of them. Depp is claiming that Heard had affairs with both James Franco and Elon Musk whilst they were together and both of them are set to testify on behalf of Heard during the trial, along with Ellen Barkin from ‘Animal Kingdom’. Should be very interesting to hear what all of them have to say about the Depp/Heard relationship and the part that they played in it too.

Appearing on behalf of Johnny Depp is Paul Bettany, although he’s previously said that he didn’t know Johnny when he was dating/married to Amber so I’m not really sure that he’s going to be offering too much during the trial. Emails between Depp and both J.K. Rowling and Jack White will also be addressed which are again super intriguing – what the hell was he saying to those people that could be relevant in this trial?

I guess we’ll have to wait a few more weeks to find out, but you can bet it’s going to be completely ridiculous if the rest of the Depp/Heard saga is anything to go by. Car crash television.
