The Horrors are a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine, guilty because when they first emerged I thought they were just wannabe scenesters who prided themselves on being all messed up and moody. But on account of the music that they make, I am a fan and can put up with their stupid haircuts if they continue to make bloody good tunes like this!
Stiff Life is the debut single from their just released album Skying and is a nod to 80’s bands like The Cure and Simple Minds. It’s a grower, so give it a shot and don’t be a hater.
