Back in December, the Hawk Tuah girl launched a meme coin, lost a bunch of people their money and ended up as public enemy #1. Many on the internet were calling for her to be jailed for pulling what was essentially an illegal crypto maneuver that made her (and/or her handlers) rich and left everyone else out of pocket.

Since then, we haven’t heard any updates, apart from a blatant PR crisis-firm written tweet insisting that Hawk Tuah was helping the legal team get to the bottom of all this:

Well, it’s now been two months and we haven’t heard a peep from Hawk Tuah, and it’s basically as though she’s fallen off the face of the planet. 

No new podcast, tweets or Instagram stories, which is telling because her podcast was (surprisingly) developing quite a following.

Then again, the legal situation is looking quite precarious for her so it’s probably in her best interest to keep her mouth shut, and just basically go into hiding until the whole thing is resolved.  Even then, can the Hawk Tuah Girl make a comeback after generating so much ill will by knowingly or unknowingly rinsing her supporters for cash?

Just goes to show: one day you can be the most famous person on the internet, and one bad crypto scam later, you’re completely finished. Word to the wise.
