The first trailer for James Gunn’s new Superman movie has been released, and I have to say it looks absolutely immense. In fact it’s a much better trailer than what we were expecting:

God that guitar theme is f*cking awesome. The cast isn’t half bad either:

Is DC officially back? Could be. They definitely need a Win right now so here’s hoping James Gunn pulls through and delivers a great movie to kick-start this new universe. After all, Superman hasn’t had a good movie in years! Based solely on the trailer, I think we’re in for something pretty great. I like that it doesn’t give too much away while still giving us a glimpse into Metropolis, and the life of both Clark Kent and Superman. You can also tell this movie is going to be action-packed, even with how little we see in the trailer. It looks like they’ve gone for the classic superhero vibe rather than the dark and grim approach that Hollywood likes to implement recently, so that’s another positive.

Superman hits screens in Summer 2025 – can’t wait.

P.S. So much for the rumour that Elliot Page was set to star in the lead role.
