The ‘live-action’ Snow White remake was already under fire over the ridiculously awful and smug comments made by its main actress last year, but now the trailer has officially arrived, the backlash has ramped up x 1000.
Turns out computer-generated dwarves and “woke” reimaginings are not what Disney or Snow White fans are clamouring for…
Yikes. Something tells me that the Snow White remake is not going to do the numbers that Hollywood execs hoped it would. They’ve taken another classic and beloved character from our childhoods and turned her into a lazy, cliched, modern #GirlBoss who’s going to take on the world, beat the sh1t out of everyone singlehandedly, and doesn’t need no man to help or save her. Meanwhile, the Prince is relegated to a supporting role and is barely taller than the computer-generated dwarves.
Amazingly, Disney did keep the comment section open under the trailer:
Obviously we can’t know for sure until March 2025 whether the final product will be the shambles that everyone predicts it will be, but there are more than a few indicators that it will be. The fact Snow White is being released in the middle of March and not during winter or any other holiday also suggests that the movie bigwigs behind it recognise the audience for a Snow White remake may not be as large as they hoped. Which isn’t too surprising when the main actress has admitted she hates the original and has spent the last year slating Trump supporters i.e. half of America and half of the movie’s potential viewership.
Although she did apologise for that last one, mind you…
Rachel Zegler has apologized for comments she made following Donald Trump’s re-election, which included “F— Donald Trump” and “May Trump supporters … and Trump himself never know peace”:

Rachel Zegler admitting she didn’t like Snow White growing up, saying she had only watched it ONCE before getting the role is so sad to me. Out of MILLIONS of women who loved the character, care about the story and yet this is who we get. 🤡🤢 pic.twitter.com/IVKQN4FIHc

At the end of the day though, it’s always going to be a hard sell when you’re trying to convince us that a magic mirror would think Rachel Zegler is fairer then Gal Gadot. Pull the other one!
