Elephant Deterrent

Darwin Awards Ken Charles Barger - Elephant Landmine

Now we’re off to the sweltering farmlands of Zimbabwe in 2005. Our main protagonist is the neurologically challenged Christian. Christian is a maize farmer and has had more than enough of ruddy elephants trampling all over his crops. It’s costing him time and money and something must be done. Over the recent months in his local area there had been a number of incidents with landmines, people losing limbs etc, Christian put two and two together and got a hedgehog.

He had seen some landmines nearby that had been uncovered recently by heavy rain so he decided to go and collect them and teach them darned elephants a lesson. He picked up five in total and meandered back to his fields. On the journey one went off and that was the end of the journey, the landmines and Christian. No elephants were harmed.
