Angel Town — 1990
With Van Damme knocking so many films out in the 90s directors were forced to enlist a further action hero, Oliver Gruner answered their prayers. Angel Town’s plot (if you can call it that) involves Gruner’s character “Jacques” renting a room. His landlady’s son is being targeted by a local gang to enlist, she’s not too happy about this. Luckily her tenant knows karate and stuff so he basically goes round kicking shit out of gang members. The fight scenes are brilliant and Gruner chucks out some terrible one liners, B movie gold!
