South Bronx Academy for Applied Media teacher Alexis Nazario initially faced being fired but was let off with a $300 fine after acknowledging she’d made a mistake. If only getting out of trouble was always that easy eh?
Investigators spoke to three 8th graders who confirmed the clip showed a man in a mask cutting off the head of a kneeling victim dressed in orange.
Nazario, who makes $105,000 a year, initially tried to blame the kids by telling investigators one of them had searched for the clip and streamed it onto the overhead screen during a lesson about terrorism, Iraq and ISIS, but the students told them it was in fact Nazario who cued the clip and even told them “This is what’s going on in the real world”.
The video also showed the aftermath of the beheading which showed the man’s severed head placed on top of his own chest.

Possibly the biggest shocker in all this is how a middle-school teacher in the Bronx is earning $105,000 a year? No wonder she’s sticking on ISIS beheading videos to pass the time if the only punishment she gets is a $300 fine. Every teacher I’ve ever spoken to (in the UK anyway) say the money is crap and the workload is insane, despite all the holiday time they get.
It’s not even like this teacher is living the Michelle Pfeiffer in Dangerous Minds life, considering these kids are in tears over a beheading video. Don’t sound very much like gangsta kids to me. Might be an idea for every teacher out there to have ISIS beheading video on standby, just the keep the little brats in line.
Meanwhile, another teacher south of the Bronx was forced to resign after giving one student the rinsing of a lifetime.
