A young teacher faces up to 20 years in jail for allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old pupil.

The student, who attended Taylor High School near Austin, Texas, said that she’d had about ten sexual encounters with her teacher Kendall Lucas over the space of around two months.
When probed by the police, 25-year-old Lucas confessed to the relationship. The softball and volleyball teacher could now go to jail for up to 20 years after being charged with an improper relationship.
The whole scandal came out after the girl told her friends who were also students at the school.
Principal Andrew Maddox wrote a letter to the parents once the news had broken out, saying:
Like you, we are all obviously shocked and dismayed by this allegation and will be working to support all of our students in coping with this disturbing news.
Well, it sounds like Lucas is going to go down for a long time. When are teachers going to learn that it is not OK to be having sex with your students? These stories seem to be occurring every other day. It’s just not worth it – find someone your own age.
