Well, isn’t that something? Taylor Swift has never been to uni, never experienced anything like this, and yet here she is with her very own honorary doctorate degree from prestigious New York University. It just goes to show that even if you don’t grind your way through higher education and years of grueling postgraduate study, you can always become a pop superstar instead and end up with a degree for free. I mean it is a Doctorate of Fine Arts, which makes you about as much of a doctor as Dr. Pepper, but still – something to put on the old CV.
And what a speech! Reminding us all that cringe is inevitable, like her whole ordeal with Jake Gyllenhaal. Congratulations, Taylor Swift. Congratulations, indeed!
