I always find it kinda funny when you hear about a couple getting divorced and then remarried a few years down the line – don’t they remember how awful everything was that forced them to get a divorce in the first place? – and there was no exception when it came to the story of Elon Musk and his two time wife Talulah Riley.

I’m not that familiar with the details of their relationship, but for some reason Riley has decided to come forward and reveal everything about why she decided to remarry Musk. And the truth is kinda banal to be honest – here’s what she had to say:

 I suppose the reason to get remarried was just because it felt silly to be together unmarried after having been married. You know, it’s like a habit. We were saying ‘this is my husband.’ ‘This is my wife.’ ‘Oh, wait, no, we’re not that anymore. We better be that again.

You know, it felt silly to go back to ‘this is my boyfriend’ when we’ve been married. So, we just got married again.

It wasn’t really a traditional housewife role.

I mean, there were the rockets and the cars, and there were things blowing up… there was a lot going on – a lot that was very stimulating.

We [her, and Musk’s kids] were very involved in what was going on. It was a group effort. A family-wide effort.

Elon was great. He had me alongside for all of that. So it wasn’t like I was stuck in a mansion in Bel Air like a trophy wife, which would not have been fun. I did, of course, witness that for others. But luckily, that was not my fate.

He’s now the perfect ex-husband. He’s a great friend who looks out for me.

We are in a happy place now, where we’re good to each other, which is really nice. I have here utmost love for him.

OK? Does that sound a bit weird to anyone else? I thought she was going to talk about how she managed to be convinced that he was worth marrying a second time after he was obviously awful the first time, but she was merely talking about how she felt stupid calling Musk her boyfriend when he had once been her husband. That must have been so tough for her sure – can really understand why she had no choice but to marry him again.

It’s also weird how she has the utmost love for him despite having had to divorce him twice?! Surely he can’t be that great and amazing if she had to do that. Just a really peculiar way for her to describe the situation. Strange vibe coming off the woman. Guess she’s probably a two time billionaire after getting two divorce settlements though. Cashback.
