So this video of a Taco Bell employee turning 2 customers into refried beans is going viral right now. Apparently the dispute started in the drive-thru line and continued in the restaurant; all over a $30 order that had to be re-made 3 times and was incorrect every time. Well it seems as though one of the customers decided to step behind the counter to continue the argument, which we all know is a big no-no in the fast food world (especially in the land of lunatics that is America). Eventually the manager got involved and dumped a bucket of boiling hot water at the women.

The maddest part of the story is this (via MailOnline):

Davis and her niece were both hit in the face and chest with the water soaking into their clothes.  They attempted to leave the restaurant, but were locked in. 

The manager went to the back again to get more water, but the pair managed to escape to their car where family members were waiting and were not hit a second time. They then managed to unlock the door.  

‘As this family was leaving the parking lot, a Taco Bell employee came outside the front door, laughing, clapping, and taunting the family,’ the lawsuit reads. ‘The burns on her face will cause discoloring and scarring that will forever impact her self-image.’

What an insane branch of Taco Bell. Just locking your customers inside the restaurant while you go and fetch another bucket of boiling water on your quest to burn them to death. OK in fairness they probably locked the doors to ensure no other customer came in and got involved in the fight, but it’s funny to think they locked them in there so they could continue to dump bucket after bucket of boiling water on them.

Then to add insult to injury, the employee follows the wounded customers out of the restaurant “laughing, clapping, and taunting” the family as they barely manage to escape with their lives. Not even a tiny bit of regret or concern for their jobs! I mean A+ as far as team-building exercises go, but still pretty bonkers.

Anyway, the victims are now seeking $1 million in damages, and I think there’s a good chance they get it. Get well soon, either way.
