Sylvester Stallone is probably one of the most recognisable actors in the world thanks to his roles as Rocky and Rambo, so you would kind of think that at the age of 76 he might want to tone it down a bit and enjoy his retirement rather than starring in vacuous reality TV shows about his family – but you would obviously be completely wrong.

‘The Family Stallone’ is a new eight part reality series that will follow Sly and the no doubt thrilling life that he shares with his wife Jennifer Flavin Stallone, and three daughters: Sophia, Sistine, Scarlet. I’m not really sure how anyone thinks that this is actually going to be be interesting, but given the fact the Writers Guild of America just went on strike and there probably aren’t going to be any good scripted shows any time soon, this just might be exactly what we needed.

I’m going to reserve judgment until I’ve watched the trailer at least:

Yeah I don’t really know what I was expecting but that looked even worse than I imagined? I suppose this is true of all reality shows, but it didn’t even look like there was going to be any semblance of a plot on this one or anything.

It’s also really funny that the only aspect of his daughters’ personalities I could really glean from the trailer was that they ran a podcast called ‘Unwaxed’ which sounds kind of interesting. The’ We’re Stallones’ catchphrase feels like it’s going to be massively overused throughout the whole series as well.

Predicting this won’t make any cultural impact whatsoever and will be quietly cancelled, maybe even before the full run of episodes is completed. Not doing it anymore Adrian.
