Sydney Sweeney Hits Back At Hollywood Producer Who Said She’s ‘Not Pretty’ And ‘Can’t Act’

It hasn’t taken long for Sydney Sweeney’s camp to clap back after Hollywood producer Carol Baum rubbished the Euphoria star in front of an audience of film fans in New York, claiming she’s ‘not pretty’ and ‘can’t act’.

Carol Baum had said:

‘There’s an actress who everybody loves now – Sydney Sweeney.’

‘I don’t get Sydney Sweeney. I was watching on the plane Sydney Sweeney’s movie [‘Anyone But You’] because I wanted to watch it’

‘I watched this unwatchable movie- sorry to people who love this movie – [this] romantic comedy where they hate each other.’

Referencing the producing class she teaches at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Baum added:

‘I said to my class, “Explain this girl to me. She’s not pretty, she can’t act. Why is she so hot?”

A rep for Sydney Sweeney has now fired back at Carol Baum for her remarks with the following:

“How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman.”

“If tearing down another woman is what Carol has learned during her decades in the business, and she feels it appropriate to pass that on to her students, then that’s truly shameful. To unjustly disparage a fellow female producer speaks volumes about Ms Baum’s character.”

Oof, really put her in her place there. So much so in fact that Carol Baum has since told TMZ that she ‘regrets’ making the comments and has received a ton of hate mail over them. Which is to be expected any time you go after the Hollywood It girl of the moment.

Reminds me of the time that guy on Twitter went viral for claiming that Sydney Sweeney is a 5.5 in Europe and a 3/10 on the Russian metro, except now it’s a big time Hollywood producer saying it for no other reason anyone can think of aside from pure jealousy.

Well guess what? I and the other legions of Sydney Sweeney fans will not stand for it. Keep doing your thing, Sydney Sweeney! And by doing your thing I guess I mean being an OK actress who is ridiculously hot…
