Swamp81 have announced they will be starting up a sub label simply called ’81’ from September onwards. For those of you who don’t know, Swamp81 was originally founded by Loefah and has since grown into a huge staple of the UK scene. Swamp81 has seen releases from the likes of Mickey Pearce, Paleman, Benton, Zed Bias, Chunky & more. The following was taken from Swamp81’s Facebook.

It will be committed to releasing the most up-front underground music, monthly, digitally and with a ltd vinyl run. To compliment this we will be starting a bi monthly club night of the same name.

The 2014 release schedule looks like this: September – Mickey Peace ‘Instructions’ October – Paleman ‘Beezledub’ November – Chunky ‘Oun-C’ December – Zed Bias – ‘Chokehold’ Sounds like some tasty releases are going to be on the horizon for the Swamp gang, but for now have a little listen to Swamp honcho Loefah in the Boiler Room…
