Getting arrested by the police and thrown in jail is one of the worst things that could ever happen to you, so wouldn’t it be great if the ‘Get Out Of Jail Free’ card was actually an item that existed and worked in reality?

This isn’t ever going to happen, but one dude was determined to try it a couple of days ago when he was arrested in Dakota County, Minnesota on a fifth degree controlled substance warrant, whatever that is. The unnamed 35-year-old man handed the deputy the Monopoly card in an effort to avoid being taken into the station, but it didn’t work.

Instead, all that happened to him was that he got rinsed on Facebook. Great!

Well, I’m sure the guy is glad that the cops gave him “A” for effort, but probably significantly less glad that the card didn’t work and now he might actually end up going to jail. Not really sure if he ever thought that it might work though or if he was just doing it for a joke? Probably the latter – you’ve got to have a sense of humour about these things.
