So this whole saga began a couple months back when obnoxious Kick streamer Johnny Somali started making racist comments and harassing people on a train in Tokyo while making vlogs in Japan.
The footage went viral after a Korean man from Texas happened to be in the same carriage, and confronted Somali about his behaviour:
Obviously the good people of Japan aren’t going to let some gaijin like Johnny Somali take the p*ss out of them in their own country, and so ever since then he’s been confronted and/or attacked multiple times while streaming in public. I mean, it’s not like he’s hard to spot out there, is it? Here are a few clips of Japanese locals taking him on:
Well, can’t say he didn’t ask for it. Overall though, Johnny Somali seems to have got off lightly.
Still, what happens when the Yakuza get a hold of him? Surely they’re not about to let some disrespectful American streamer mock them on their own turf. I’d get out of Japan ASAP if I was Johnny Somali, but then again this drama has done wonders for his channel, so maybe he’ll risk his life out there a little longer.
