‘Love Island’ and the new series of ‘Stranger Things’ have been two of the television events of the summer, but I really didn’t think there was any scope for a crossover between the two – turns out I was dead wrong though.

‘Stranger Things’ actor Noah Schnapp was doing a live Instagram call with Millie Bobbie Brown over the weekend, when the pair discussed ‘Love Island’ and Schnapp revealed that he’s been messaging this year’s winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. Brown couldn’t believe it (see the video below) – and neither could we really – but Ekin-Su later confirmed the news to On Demand Entertainment, saying the following:

He messaged me being like, “oh my god, I love you so much, you killed it”, and I was like “Thank you”, and he goes, “I love you!”‘.
Err great? I don’t really know if that means that the two are going to end up being friends or hooking up or whatever – I suppose Davide might have a problem with that – but it’s kind of weird to find out that Schnapp loves ‘Love Island’. Didn’t really think that would have made it across to the US or that anyone over there would actually like it. Guess I was wrong.
It’s also kinda funny – although I suppose we already sorta know this – that celebrities just send each other banal messages saying that they love each other without even knowing each other just like us plebs do as well. Except this time I guess the celebrities actually reply to each other instead of ignoring the little guys like you and me. You can have as much money and fame as you want but I guess we’re all still the same idiots underneath it all.
