Sal Gardino was the best electrician in the world, which is quite a boast. His lights are now permanently off, but we will never forget his skills thanks to his très, très subtle headstone.
This is Georges Rodenbach, he kind of looks like he’s swimming through rock. He was a Belgian writer and poet and his grave is in Paris.
Up next is the The Davis Memorial in Hiawatha Kansas. Apparently John Davis was super gutted when his wife of 50 years died, they had amassed quite a bit of cash from their farm and John ended up spending the vast majority of it on this huge grave complex.
John had statues made of himself and his lady wife in different stages throughout their life. There’s 11 statues in all and the whole piece weighs about 50 tonnes. It’s a strange thing to blow your cash on, but you can’t spend it when you’re gone, so crack on.
