Following on from the phenomenal success of Straight Outta Compton at the box office – even though you can’t actually watch it in Compton – Daz Dillinger has told TMZ that there’s already a sequel in the works.
Dillinger revealed that the sequel will pick up after Eazy E had passed and will focus on the Dogg pound, that being Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt and Daz himself. The characters of Tupac and Suge Knight will also be involved. Apparently some casting has already taken place with Dr Dre’s son Curtis Young set to to play his father. Dr. Dre and Ice Cube won’t be involved as producers like they were on Compton though.

For some reason Daz seems to be promoting the movie via a website that doesn’t actually work (see a screen grab of it below) or just isn’t functional yet, so I’m not actually sure if this movie is real or just a figment of his imagination. There doesn’t seem to be a studio attached to it either, although to be fair given how successful Compton has been it would be just plain dumb for one of them not to roll the dice on this. It’s probably going to be a while before we see it anywhere though.
