It’s not common place all over of course, but it still happens, and even if it is just isolated cases that’s pretty terrifying. Especially on top of all of the other sick punishments and degradation that they are ace at already.
In pre-Taliban Afghanistan stoning was pretty rare, but since they took over it’s become the official punishment for a plethora of crimes. In Brunei in October 2013 the Sultan declared that stoning, flogging and amputation were to be added to the penal code in line with Sharia law. In Nigeria Sharia law was introduced in 2000 meaning that stoning was now on the legal menu.
Here’s a few modern occurrences that will make your blood freeze and then boil:
IRAQ: 2007 – young girl stoned to death in Nilraq.
MALI: July 2012 – a couple were stoned to death for having unmarried sex by Islamists in Aguelhok.
PAKISTAN: March 2013 – A soldier called Anwar Din was stoned for having a romatic affair with a villager.
PAKISTAN: July 2013 – Arifa Bibi, a young mother of two, was dispatched in the same manner for owning a mobile phone. Her family were ordered to carry out the deed and bury her far from the town.
SOMALIA: October 2008 – Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow was buried up to her neck in sand in a football stadium and stoned in front of 1000 spectators for committing adultery. Several members of the audience tried to intervene but were shot by militants. One of those killed in the gun fire was an 8 year old boy. Around 50 men carried out the stoning. After 10 minutes she was dug out and a nurse confirmed she was still alive, at this point they re-buried her and continued until she had perished. It later turned out that she was 13 years old and had been gang raped by three men. Of course, there was no effort on the militant’s part to find the three men.
Anyone who follows my articles will know that I often cover dark modern day behaviour, but that last tale hits home hard. There’s so little anyone can do to stop this barbary in the name of god. As the zealots and Zionists rise we are all in trouble if we don’t stand a little bit taller. But when we’re standing so far away is there really anything we can do?
