It’s all gone quiet on the Steven Avery/Making A Murderer front in the last few months after the initial bedlam that surrounded the case around the turn of the year when the series premiered.

Despite this, we were still fairly confident that Avery’s lawyer Kathleen Zellner was still working on it behind the scenes, and that it was only a matter of time before she blew the whole thing out of the water. It looks like that time might be coming very soon now too and it’s going to be big:

This follows news that Zellner would be officially giving us a major update about the case at the end of August. That seems a long way away now, but it’s the summer so it will probably just fly by and we’ll be getting it in no time.
Zellner has already released one piece of crucial evidence to the public: that thanks to phone tower triangulation, Theresa Halbach’s mobile phone can be placed twelve miles away from the salvage yard when it stopped transmitting. Although that doesn’t prove her location and only proves the location of her phone, it does contradict the established timeline from that day which is quite a big deal. Literally can’t wait to see what else she’s coming up with if that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
