If my family was missing on board the tourist submarine that vanished in the depths of the Atlantic and were facing certain death unless rescued in the next 48 hours, I’m not sure that rocking out at a Blink 182 concert would be at the top of my agenda.
Brian Szasz, the stepson of the British billionaire Hamish Harding, confirmed his stepdad was among the tourists that vanished along with the submarine on an expedition to the Titanic wreckage on Sunday. Literally 20 minutes later, he shared a picture of himself attending Blink 182’s gig in San Diego:
What a guy. Earlier, he shared the following status on Facebook:
The entire internet is now ripping into him for this but in fairness, he did say his family would want him to be at the Blink 182 concert and not put his life on hold just because his stepdad is trapped 12,000 feet below the ocean in a submarine and may not make it out alive. I mean come on, how often does a Blink 182 show come around these days, anyway? His stepdad is stuck in that submarine whether Brian goes to the concert or not. So he may as well go, right?
Plus, what can he honestly do? He’s not a sunken submarine rescue expert and so probably isn’t needed during the search efforts. All he can do is literally wait as the rescuers do their jobs. Might as well wait at the Blink 182 gig instead of sitting at home and feeling sorry for himself like the rest of his family. Rock on, Brian!
For the time Matt Hancock revealed he’d never heard of Blink 182, click HERE. Sigh…
