4) Bong-Chae Son
Bong-Chae, born in 1967 has got a bit more of a classical feel to his work at first glance. But his methods are anything but old fashioned: he lights up layers of bullet proof glass with LEDs to give this moody 3D vibe. Son is one of the big boys in this new modern art movement in South Korea.
He paints layers of bullet proof glass and lays them on top of each other to give them a 3D effect before illuminating them to increase the depth further with shadowy goodness.
This one looks like veins to me.
