Really sad news over the weekend with the death of adult film star Sophia Leone. The 26-year-old was found unresponsive in her New Mexico home a little over a week ago, with her official death being announced yesterday.
That makes three big name porn stars dead already in 2024, with Jesse Jane and Kagney Linn Karter both sadly passing away earlier in the year. If that isn’t bad enough, another young adult actress named Emily Willis is currently in a coma after being hospitalised last month. Three/possibly four porn star deaths in the space of 3 months? What the hell is going on exactly?
There’s still no word on the cause of death for Sophia Leone. Mike Romero, her stepfather, said local police are still investigating. The Latina actress began her career before she turned 20 and has a net worth of over a million dollars. She was scouted by an agent while attending a music festival in Miami and after some research decided to join the industry.
Whatever the cause of death turns out to be, there’s clearly something of an epidemic going on in regards to porn star deaths. Of course, it’s hardly an industry that attracts the most mentally stable people on the planet, but surely something needs to be done about the mental health crisis among adult film stars at this point. If three deaths in three months isn’t enough of a wake-up call, then what is?
