An UberEats driver is scared for his life and the lives of his family after failing to deliver a takeaway order to Snoop Dogg, who then shared the driver’s name, picture and license plate number with his 69 million followers on Instagram.
According to CBS News, the driver, whose name is Sayd, is considering suing the Death Row Records owner, who complained that his order never arrived before doxxing the driver in the 12-second clip.
Sayd says that he didn’t know he was delivering to a West Coast legend and canceled the order in line with Uber’s protocol, after waiting eight minutes for someone to pick it up. Which is fair enough, really. Were Snoop and his buddies too baked to get off the couch or what?
Sayd says:
After I see the video, I’m kind of like…I have anxiety and I fear for my family’s safety.
I contacted the customer many times and I also followed the protocol by the book.
Uber has apologized to Snoop for the inconvenience of not getting his food but did not release a statement about the doxxing:
We truly regret Snoop Dogg’s frustrating experience. We have reached out to apologize and refunded him for the order.
Sayd feels like Uber have betrayed him by taking Snoop Dogg’s side in all this:
When I read that, I just felt like it’s not fair because I am the one that deserves an apology from Uber Eats, not Snoop.
Sayd no longer works for the company, saying he is afraid to return to work, after having so much of his personal information leaked to the public.
But I have to fight for my rights and family’s rights. I just feel like I’m not treated well from this celebrity or Uber Eats.
Very poor form from Snoop to share this guy’s information like that. I guess when you’ve got the munchies that bad, seeing your UberEats order cancelled unexpectedly can be quite devastating. Still, it’s not nice to think that there are some gangsters out there looking to avenge Snoop by tracking down and murdering an UberEats driver and his family.
P.S. Why is Snoop cheating on Just Eat? They paid him £5.3 million for that advert– how about some loyalty?
