The Sims was one of the greatest games of the 00s, but it’s probably fair to say that most of us probably haven’t played it for a while because well, games move on and Red Dead Redemption 2 came out or whatever.

It seems like EA have realised this though and devised the ultimate way to get us hooked again: they’re making The Sims 4 completely free to download on Mac or PC up until May 28th. All you need to do is head over to the Origin Store and once you’re there just click the button and you’re in.

Yep, can’t wait to lock them all in a room with no toilet and see what happens there (spoiler – they’ll get really unhappy and shit their pants and eventually die) all over again. Of course, the game is now four years old so they’re probably looking to get us all hooked on it again before they shop out a new one, but hey you can’t look a gift horse in the mouth can you? Just make sure you don’t get hooked and end up spending a shit load of money on it. It can happen.
