So do you think you are the man to fill Fergie’s boots? Do you fancy yourself as a cheeky tinkerman of the ages? Are you the real Special One? Or are you managing skills limited to Football Manager on your PC? Why not come and prove yourself in the league to end all leagues.

After the success of last year’s Sick Chirpse Fantasy Football League we have decided it would be rude not to welcome you all back to a wonderful bit of competition this year – we’ll even chuck in some more money and goody bags for the top teams this time. If you want to enter a team all you need to do is click here for a free team via Daily Telegraph Fantasy Football website.

All you do is select a team of eleven players in the formation that you fancy and then attempt to storm the league.

You’ll be able to change it as much as you like, as often as you like, right up until the first kick-off at 3.00pm on Saturday, August 17th but you need to get your team registered pretty sharpish to get it for free.

Last year seen 100 teams enter the league with a prize pot of £100 dished out by the powers that be at Sick Chirpse – with goody bags going to the top 5. This year we are hoping to get more and will keep you updated on our Twitter with the prize pool – basically – the more teams in the league the bigger the jackpot, and you can expect it to be similar to the £1 per entrant ratio we worked off last year. Simple. So tell your friends ladies. If you’re promoting it through your Twitter use the hashtag #SCFantasyFootball and the person who gets the most people to join will receive a free goodie bag after the season kicks off.

THE SHIT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

First scoring matches are Saturday 17th August 2012
Sign up before 3pm Saturday if you want in
Sign up after 5.30pm and you’ll get points from then onwards
If you don’t know anything about football you can still enter and do an auto-select team
You gotta be over 18 to enter — Telegraph rules — and it means we can send you out champagne when you win
You can make 30 transfers in the season after the league has started
You can only join one league so fuck your friends and family and join the Sick Chirpse family/invite them to join
Scores get updated on a Monday morning but Sick Chirpse will keep you updated on the regs
There will be shit loads of prizes galore as well as a cash prize for the winner come next May
Tell all your mates to join as the more players the higher the stakes will be
Everyone who enters our league will also be entered into a prize draw to win a Sick Chirpse goody bag (t-shirt, stickers, iPhone cover etc)
