As the Tractor Tax saga sludges on, Derbyshire-based farmer S.K.U.D has dropped a new track titled ‘Shitkicker’ – a raw and unapologetic nod to the gritty reality of farm life, a life filled with early mornings, long hours, relentless challenges, and… loads of sh*t.
Check out the video below:
As we all know, British farmers and their supporters are ramping up the pressure on Keir Starmer and the Labour party to reverse their decision on “tractor tax” – which would see farmers who want to pass on their farms to their children forced to sell up in order to pay a massive tax bill, and eventually destroy the UK farming industry altogether. Nobody wants to see that, do they? Well, apparently Keir Starmer does.
So it’s good to see S.K.U.D put out another rallying cry for this underappreciated community that he is a part of and that forms the backbone of rural Britain, and to remind the rest of us of the connection between farmers and the land they nurture and the food that ends up on our plates.
As it says at the end of the video, ‘Shitkicker’ is available on all major streaming platforms, with all proceeds going to the Lane End Farm Trust and the farming community. Respect.
