Playing football is a team game, and there’s nothing worse than letting your teammates down by doing something stupid like getting a red card or scoring an own goal – so imagine what it must feel like to score two own goals and get sent off in one match.

Step forward Shane Duffy, a 24-year-old Republic Of Ireland international defender who’s currently playing his trade at Blackburn. They were in action last night against Cardiff and Duffy had what could only be described as a game to forget:

Two cracking finishes there eh – maybe Blackburn should consider playing him up front? To make matters even worse for Duffy, Blackburn have lost all three of their games this season, he just rejected a new two year contract and he scored an own goal on Saturday too. Maybe he should just give up playing or something?
