Before I continue, I must plead my innocence that I’m not usually into American Idol, but after scouring the tv channels for ages only to find nothing to watch, I resorted to flicking it over to the annoying and contrived reality show. What surprised me the most was that in amongst all the rednecks, hillbillies, Elvis impersonators and shitty Britney Spears wannabes, there was actually one that could sing. And pretty damn good too! I have to admit that from first appearance I completely doubted this guy was capable of holding a note, I thought he was most likely to do a Seth Rogan impersonation and rejoice at getting his 15 seconds of fame whilst telling J-Lo how much he loved her and how he has always wanted to suck Steve Tyler’s d***! How wrong I was, the melodica-playing Casey Abrams just happened to give one of the most unique and amazing audition I have ever seen (who the fvck won the UK’s X-factor anyway? anyone? no I have no idea either!) After a quick look on the net, I came across his equally incredible second live performance, this time accompanied by a double bass.
