Selena Gomez claimed last year that she hadn’t been on the internet in FOUR YEARS because there’s just so many moronic comments and news stories she has to contend with (sorry about that). So I’m guessing the last thing she needed upon her return was to accidentally publish an ever-so-slightly revealing image of herself, which she immediately deleted:

Indeed, I think I do detect a tiny bit of areola there. No big deal, but again, not ideal when you’re a celebrity who likes to keep things PG. As we all know, once something is posted on the internet or social media, it’s there forever, until the end of time, no matter how quickly you delete it afterwards. Tens of thousand of Selena Gomez followers will have screenshotted the image the moment it popped up on their timelines and before she even realised what she’d posted.

The cynic in me thinks this may be a PR move designed to drum up publicity for whatever new project she’s got coming up, but apparently there’s nothing. Well, she has hinted that she’s working on a new album, but there’s nothing official yet. I’m guessing the IG activity will be ramped up whenever that happens…

Well, let’s hope everyone is being nice to Selena Gomez now that she’s back online, and that this latest incident doesn’t prompt another 4-year hiatus.

P.S. Gomez also gets paid half a million for every sponsored Instagram post she makes, so she can’t be hating on the internet too much.
