After seeing Sean Strickland beat the sh1t out of Sneako last Friday, Jake Paul took it upon himself to stand up for the young influencer – by challenging the former UFC Middleweight Champion to a $1 million fight in Puerto Rico.
Jake Paul claimed he was challenging Strickland because he doesn’t like bullies, but it’s probably just a publicity stunt for his Betr company and the new anti-bullying foundation he’s setting up, which he mentioned/tagged in one of the callouts:
I hate bullies. I was bullied and then was the bully sometimes in my YouTuber days. But now all my energy is focused on Boxing Bullies @Boxingbullies and helping the youth.
But when I see someone like Strickland constantly bullying people, it’s time to bully back.

Well anyway, despite being fully up for it, Sean Strickland has now explained why the fight has no chance of happening anytime soon (at least not in an official capacity). He went and asked Hunter Campbell (Chief Business Officer of the UFC) about making the scrap happen, but here’s the response he got:
Sean Strickland asked Hunter Campbell if he could take Jake Paul’s offer and fight for $1 million, and Hunter said that Jake “sells no fights. They give away free tickets, [Jake] doesn’t make money”
He then tells Jake Paul to fly to Vegas and spar him for free.

Interesting. I’m sure Hunter Campbell knows what he’s talking about, but you’d think the idea of Sean Strickland beating the f*** out of Jake Paul would be enough to shift a boat load of tickets/PPV buys anyway. Then again, maybe not?
Regardless, it seems that Sean Strickland is still up for sparring with Jake Paul, no cash or cameras necessary. Will Jake Paul fancy it? I’d be pretty surprised if he did.
