It’s been less than a month since the worst massacre in US history happened in Las Vegas, and it’s sadly not too surprising that we’re now talking about another one.

In case you missed it yesterday, a 26 year old man named Devin Patrick Kelley stormed into a church yesterday in Sutherland Springs, Texas and unleashed a hail of bullets on the place and murdering 27 people, including women and children. He was later apparently shot dead by two other men in the vicinity. RIP to all the victims and our thoughts are obviously with their families.

It didn’t take too long for a pictures of Kelley as a creepy loner to emerge, with many of his high school classmates coming out of the woodwork to paint this picture of him. Here’s what one named Nina had to say about him:

I went to school with him. We had a few conversations here and there. It’s not something I expected from him.

He was an outcast but not a loner. He was popular among other outcasts. I haven’t spoke to him since high school.

I said I just want to move back to Texas, and he said something along the lines of “Texas isn’t any better”. Pretty much said he didn’t like Texas.

I think he had one kid, she/he is still a baby. He was married but I don’t know to who. It’s crazy to think I grew up with him. Same town. Same school. Same classes.

He was different in school and creeped me out but never would I have thought he would do such a horrific thing.

Yeah, I mean I doubt anyone would evert think that anyone they knew would do something like this to be fair though. Her sentiments were echoed by a guy called Patrick Boyce:

He had a kid or two, fairly normal, but kinda quiet and lately seemed depressed.

He was the first atheist I met. He went Air Force after high school, got discharged but I don’t know why.

I was just shocked [to hear the news]. Still haven’t quite processed how he could have done that.

I doubt any of them ever will be able to to be honest. I don’t know really what else to say about this, other than to reiterate the fact that our thoughts are with the victims and their families. RIP.
