Who remembers the ‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark’ books? They were legitimately traumatising. A whole generation of kids would sleep in their parents’ beds/wind up in therapy because they just weren’t prepared for how spooky those books were.

Well Guillermo Del Toro has decided to do the inevitable and adapt the books into a full length film. It was only a matter of time really wasn’t it?
Honestly that doesn’t look like it will be anywhere near as scary as the illustrations were but who knows? I do want to see the horror that unfolds when spider face girl eventually pops that zit and sends pus-drenched spiders flying everywhere.
P.S. How long before the notorious Momo gets her own movie too?
