It seems like the size of your television is somewhat of a status symbol these days and if you want people to think you’re a big deal, then you had better make sure that you get a hole of Samsung’s new offering ‘The Wall’.

Unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week, the 219 inch screen is not only seriously impressive to look at, it’s also seriously impressive on a technical level as well. They’re using some things that they’re calling the micro LED for the display  that apparently gives you a brighter display using less energy than regular televisions. Wow.

The resolution is also going to be in 4K and it’s gonna be around 2000 nits brightness, all powered by the company’s 8K Quantum Processor. I got not idea what any of that really means but it sounds pretty impressive and I mean just look at it – it’s a a gigantic television that takes up and entire wall! How can you not be pumped on that?

Yeah I mean it’s kinda like all my dreams as a kid have come to fruition at once – imagine playing FIFA on that! I doubt I’ll ever be able to afford it – especially considering that they haven’t even released it yet or let us know how much it’s going to cost – but a guy can dream I suppose. One day.

Here’s the official blurb on it in case you’re still not that impressed:

The Wall 2019 takes personalisation to the next level, with modular panels that consumers can position in any size or shape to meet their needs. These next-generation modular Micro LED displays harness self-emitting technology to create elegant, efficient and powerful screens that are liberated from the limitations of existing technologies.

Yeah, just get it really hey, it’s a giant TV that fills a wall. That’s all you really need to know isn’t it?
