Everyone knows that it’s a good idea to wear a face mask during the pandemic – wait, that isn’t true, loads of people aren’t doing it at all, but everyone SHOULD know that – but I don’t know if wearing a Bane mask is really going to achieve anything at this point.

Nevertheless, reports are coming in that Bane masks are the choice of PPE for some people during the pandemic as a load of stores over in America have reportedly sold out of them. These outlets include Costume.com, BuyCostumes.com and HalloweenCostumes.com – although they’re still available on Amazon if you feel like you’re missing out and need to get your hands on one.
David DeJac, spokesman for Costume.com, said the following to The Hollywood Reporter:

Looking at sales figures, the adult mask had quite a sales spike in April and early May, which is unusual for this time of year.
There are a few children’s masks in stock though.
Yeah, it’s because idiot American idiots called Kyle are picking them up alongside a crate of Monster Energy drink. That’s such a cool look when you’re driving your jeep around Omaha, you know?
Sadly though, the US military has confirmed that Bane masks are don’t provide proper protection against the virus. I’m sure nobody who has bought one actually cares about that though because of how completely badass they look in them. Swings and roundabouts.
