As if we didn’t all think Ryan Giggs was a massive bell piece already, the Man Utd legend and current Welsh manager has been arrested for assaulting his girlfriend of three years, according to the Mirror.

46-year-old Giggs was arrested at a £1.7 million Worsely property after police were called in response to reports of a disturbance over the weekend.

A representative for Giggs said he denied the allegations and is cooperating with police:

Mr Giggs denies all allegations of assault made against him. He is cooperating with the police and will continue to assist them with their ongoing investigations.

Ryan was apparently at his Hotel Football in Manchester earlier that day to watch his former club lose 1-0 to Arsenal. He was then said to have been to the Stock Exchange Hotel, which he also co-owns, in the city centre, before returning to the Worsely pad where the incident took place.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed:

Police were called at 10.05pm on Sunday to reports of a disturbance. A woman in her 30s sustained minor injuries but did not require any treatment.

A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault and section 39 common assault.

Well, if it turns out this all true, then Ryan Giggs is an even bigger piece of shit than everyone already thought he was.

If you followed the Premier League in the 90s, Giggs was made out to be this super nice guy, amazing player, role model etc but I guess it turns out only one of those things was true. He was an amazing player, but he revealed exactly what kind of guy he is in 2011 when he was exposed for carrying on an 8-YEAR affair with his own brother’s wife, Natasha Giggs.

He also may have previous in assaulting women, having allegedly punched former girlfriend Davinia Taylor in a Manchester nightclub back in 1997. To be repeating the same behaviour in 2020? Guy is a certified scumbag. Not sure if this means he’ll lose the Welsh managerial position, but you can bet it closes off the Man Utd pathway. I mean imagine a squad of players busting their asses for a man who beats up women and shags his sister-in-law? Can’t respect a man like that, surely.
